A pusher vehicle made life easy for everyone and a massive thanks go to Tom Hearn, backed up by Graham Barwick, for driving it all weekend and making life easy for us all. Grown men were almost in tears when it appeared that it had broken down at one point. Fortunately it was a false alarm.
Dinner was in the clubhouse with master of ceremonies Phil “Parko” Parkinson and his glamorous assistant John Horsburg.
Brian Hunter was regaled us with his stories of overseas racing in the USA and elsewhere especially his story of flying to the Hong Kong Grand Prix with a bottle nitro methane passed off as lemonade.
